With an emphasis on hands-on practice you will leave our course equipped to deal with common emergencies in a competent way
This half day Fire Safety Training Course will train participants and give them the confidence to deal with fire in an emergency.
As an important component of the training a practical demonstration regarding escape routes and identification of hazards is also included.
Participants will also gain valuable ‘Hands On’ experience using a fire extinguisher. This course will emphasise the dangers of fire, the importance of prevention, and the necessity of urgent action if a fire breaks out.

This course is suitable for Parents/Childcare Staff/Grandparents/SNA’s/Volunteers and Nannies
This training will show your staff how to lift patients, particularly elderly or incapacitated people and therefore avoid back injuries. Avalon Training will train your staff in how to lift people safely therefore avoiding compensation claims and create a safe environment for those they take care of.
To comply with current Health and Safety legislation, SHW at Work (General App) Regulations 2007, Part 2 Workplace and Work Equipment, Chapter 4 “Manual Handling of Loads” and Amendment Regulations 2007. Nurses, Healthcare staff and care assistants engaged in patient handling must be given training in safe lifting techniques.

Avalon Training′s four hour Cardiac First Responder course is designed to follow the national standards laid down by the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council.
Our fully qualified instructors will ensure each student has the competency and confidence to deal with a range of life threatening emergencies for Adults, Children and Infants in addition to being able to effectively give CPR & use a defibrillator.
Our Occupational First Aid training course is designed to follow the national guidelines of Occupational First Aid laid down by the health & Safety Authority. All of our tutors are recognised by the HSA, OFAAA & PHECC.

Avalon Training’s intensive 1 Day Sports /Pitch Side First Aid course aims to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to give competent first aid to the ill or injured until medical aid arrives in a sporting environment.
